hey list,
Ive got a sneaking suspicion that my main seal is gone as well, i just
recently put an old l20b in from an old stanza that i use to drive, yet i
put in a gearbox that originally came with this engine when i bought it but
i have not put it on till just recently, its a 5 speed but thats all i know.
It seems to pool large amounts of oil on the floor near to where the gear
box and block met, does this sound like the seal. Ive checked all the bolts
and shit and they all seem tight so i don't think it's just a loose or
sloppy connection.
Also i noticed that there were two very diff posts to the original, one
saying with a hoist u can do it pretty easy the other saying to take out the
whole thing. My question- with out the hoist is only a bitch due to the
amount of room u have, (i have ramps and stands), or will i need to do the
full removal (please no hehe).
I am coming up to a period where i should be able to work on it so any help
would be appreciated.
