It's earthing somewhere.
I thought the alternator, but you have changed it over?
One side of the charge light goes to the battery and the other to the reg.
Sounds like the reg side is earthing somewhere?
Does the light go off when running?

hey fellas wondering if anyone could tell me why the charge light on the
180b stays on even after the igntion has been switched off. it can be right
off yet the charge light stays on. i have just changed the alternator over
tightened everything rihgt up and it appears to be charging but i havent had
a chance to run a multi meter over it yet
so yeah any help would be appreciated :)
