G'day list, I've had a bit of bad luck a few days after fitting the FJ, for some reason the one way valve to the brake booster (180b unit) has failed, allowing air both ways.  With it the brake booster has developed a leak.  You can hear a hiss from inside the car when I press the brake pedal.  Consequently when the brakes are applied, 1.  I have no vacuum assistance and 2. the motor almost stalls as air is being drawn into the motor after the airflow.

Question:  Is there anything particular I should have done to avoid this, or is it bad luck.  I thought perhaps the one way valve might not be able to withstand the positive pressure from the turbo, and it has failed, and thus also taking out the brake booster ?

Cheers, Wardy
