I have
a photo shoot (12 or so pics) of one of the most magnificent 510 Coupes you'd
ever want to see. I can't imagine what this car is worth. I will see if I
organise to get them put up somewhere so we can drool
occasionally.
Terry
There are 2 door coupes and 2 Door sedans.
The sedans are basically the same as 4 door cars with longer front doors and
the B pillar located further back in the body.
The coupes were built in RHD spec in Japan. Only
very few came to Australia A friend, Mick Ellis owned one of them
in the early 1980's. Mick's had the full L18SSS specs and much
better trim than the Aussi 1600's, with a nice full length console and
reclining bucket seats. (Rare then)
The coupes are totally different from the
front windscreen back. The roof is lower at the rear, and the back
window is more raked, so there is very little head room in the back and the
sun pounds on back seat passengers.
From memory the boot lid and rear quarters were
different but I may be wrong on this. I have a slide of this car
somewhere, so when I can get time I will print it and send a digi
image to the Ozdat site.
