Terry,
Thanks for the excellent pics Terry, that box is a mystery to me. At first
I though a flange output shaft had been used and a Fiat or Alfa donut ring
had been fitted. But why would anyone use that type of driveline rather
than use conventional uni joints?
In relation to the DR30 box, I have an idea that the DR30 weighed in at
around 1300 kgs (can some listers help on this?). If so that would explain
the use of the wide ratios box
Cheers
Feral Errol

Zac,
Silvia & Gazelle are basically the same car, I meant Silvia (S12) when
referring to the imported box. I am just curious as to why they put the
lower 1st gear in the DR30 RS Turbo.

The stamps are normally on the drivers side just back from the spacer
plate.
Not all gearboxes have the stamp though, I looked at what I think is a
Bluebird S3 box today that had absolutely jack written on it and beside it
was a R30 stumpy that has the numbers on it - go figure, it might have
something to do with where they are made.

Terry, Gazelle in Japan is actually Silvia, maybe that has something to do
with it?!

Also where will I find the numbers that identify my gearbox on the gearbox?
