you could trial and error it?  i didn't break my tacho doing that but probably
not what you want..

Try to look on the circuit board for a + and a -. they would be your power and
the other goes to the negative of the coil.

I would assume the two white ones are power and the other is the signal..

never done it on a 1600 tho..
