Anthony,
The boost pressure is sort of irrelevant as far as injector ratings go, i only
put it in my last post to indicate the expected hp @ a significant boost level
on the fj engine, call it a theoretical max before big $$$ kick in to get more
hp.
The rule of thumb that i use when calculating fuel requirements for efi engines
is:
100cc/min. of fuel is needed for every 20 hp.
100cc/min. of fuel is roughly equivalent to 9.8 lbs./hr.
I was told by SSS that the FJ20t injectors are rated at 480cc/min so by my
calculations they are good for 280hp and the injectors that Matt told us about
are 600cc/min so the theoretical hp they are good for is 350 and not quite up
to 400 hp. To get over 400hp on a 4 cylinder you are looking at a 720cc
injector. Most builders of high hp 4 cylinder engines start looking at
additional injectors above this level of development.
