I will definite do this in next couple of days.
Its kinda sad when things like this happen. One
expects to cruise peacefully and enjoy the SR20DET.

I have a feeling that this is more of a "Drive line angle"
or "shaft balance" problem.

Subject: SR20DET - Vibrations

Hi all,

Need help from you guys again.

Recently completed a SR20DET transplant into a 710.
Eveything went well except for some vibration problem
occuring during 3rd and 4th at about moderate cruising
speed (40mph). Its kind of like changing to a higher
gear before reaching an appropriate speed:(

I found out that the motor originally is driving an
automatic gearbox, while now I had a manual gearbox
attached to it. Is the vibration due to a non matching
clutch cover? Is there any difference between a automatic
gear setup against a manual gearbox setup?

Could it be an imbalance long shaft problem? Would replacing
the mouting rubbers help?

Need URGENT help b'coz the vibration is drumming into
my head and I don't want it to cause any other damage to
the already aging 710 shell.

Thank You everyone.

Christie.
