It's been a long time since I've done much on a 1000 but the front brakes
are the same as the 1200 drum variety. Now we used to change to coupe struts
to do disc upgrades on the 1200 sedan, but I can't remember whether there
was any reason for this other than it was easier, I seem to recall the 1200
drum strut may not have had a calliper mounting point. I'd try and get hold
of a 1200 Coupe rotor/calliper assembly and see if you can manufacture a
calliper bracket of some sort for the 1000. I don't think I've ever seen a
1000 of any model with a disc even the coupe. I think that will be the
challenging part of a brake upgrade.
I saw a very neat 1000 ute in Dickson earlier tonight but damn I didn't look
at the brakes.

Speaking of A series stuff, I've just bought a vB10 (dato 1000 wagon)
Will a Sunny 5 speed fit into it ? I assume these boxes have the same
dimensions as the 1200 4 speeds.
Im also wondering if anyone knows of any disc brakes that are compatible
with the 1000 ? It only weighs 660kilos and when I put some more donk in,
I'd like some more brakes too :)
