Justin,

There are usually no problems with installing a 2 litre NA engine of any
sort in a 1600 in most places as the national guidelines don't have the
increase in hp formula (+10%?) used in some states (vic?). In most places
engineering isn't even required up to +25% in capacity, just a normal rego
inspection, the ACT only advise a brake upgrade but don't insist. The only
time you will run into problems with rego is if the car has ever been passed
for fuel injection and unleaded petrol - going back to NA or super fuel is a
hassle for whatever reason. Mind you if you put a SR in a 1600 you are
almost certain to make other modifications that require engineering and then
the engine conversion will come into play so you will have to do it right.

Subject: carbies on efi?

Hi Ozdatters,
Does anyone know the legalities about putting carbies onto efi engines for
road cars? I have seen FJ20's with twin webers can you do the same to CA or
SR'S? Saw a 1220 coup with SR running twins at Wakefield for the nationals.
(but it was race only!)
Thanx
