Geordie,
If you leave the SR (silvia?) engine mount brackets on the engine and weld
extension plates onto the rear of the flat surface where the original mount
bolts on and redrill it to suit the stock L20 B engine mount upper bolts it
will fit perfectly.
Cheers
Feral Errol

I have a few questions regarding my install of the SR20 into my series 2
bluebird I hope someone out there has some answers for me.
The engine fits nicely in the engine bay and I have good clearance all
round. The only thing is, that it doesn't line up with the old mounts on
the
cross-member... The mounts on the engine are about an inch too far in on
each side. I also butchered the old rubbers when I took out the old L20..
I don't want to change the cross member. I perhaps want to weld something
like an adaptor onto the existing cross-member. I want to know if this will
pass for an engineer's certificate in NSW if I do this. Or should I
cold-chisel the old one off the cross-member and shorten it and then weld
it
back in a little further inward that it was.?!?
Also I need to buy some engine mount rubbers. Anybody have any I can buy or
know where I can buy some cheaply.? The ones that came witht he motor had
the bolts hacked off with a angle grinder when the engine was removed so
the
SR rubbers are no good. I now have 4 shot engine mount rubbers...
