Rick,
If in good condition including manifold and linkages $650. If they have
stainless steel weber ram tubes fitted $700-$750. Condition can be hard to
pick, but typically if the idle jets have been done up too tight, make idle
mixture setting a bitch. Webers are also subject to internal fractures on
the progression bleed line to the progression holes that are not easily
found. The biggest worry of all is the home modifier who drills holes
larger and taps into the body of the carb etc for what ever reason.
The carbs will probably give you 20 hp if correctly setup on an L16 (over
the stock carb). The only disadvantage is the use more fuel if you keep
your foot into it.
Cheers
Feral Errol

Subject: Twin 45's and wot they sell for
Date: Tuesday, July 18, 2000 12:41

Hea there everybody just a quick question.
I have been offered a pair off twin 45 webbers on
L series manifold with all linkages intact they seem to be in good working
order how much do they normally go for and wot bennifits should I expect
when they are bolted up to my L16?
Also are there any pros and cons on having them.
I do know my fuel bill will go through the roof but really that is all I
know.
Thanks in advance.
Bye for now.
Rick White.
