Michael,

Before going and hooking up and extra pump I would test the flow of fuel
through the system. ie see below.

>Test fuel system using a 1 litre container and disconnect fuel line at
carb,
>turn pump on and dispense fuel into container. If you can pump around 1
>litre a min you should be ok. You can also do this before and after filters
>etc to find restrictions in the system. If problem persists check needle
and
>seat in carb.

You can do this using a stopwatch and coke bottle. I tested at every joint
in the system to find where the restrictions were. I found a dodgy piece of
hose and a clogged filter which caused a big restriction in the system. I
also found the facet pump I used to not flow enough fuel though the tinned
fuel lines.

Trevor,

Thanks for that. I am not sure whether the fuel bowl is running out beacuse
the pump can't keep up or there is a restriction in the fuel line. The car
sat on a farm in Warragul for 3 years. I am guessing that all the crud in
the tank has settled. I will put some new fuel line of a wider diameter. I
car currently runs a Bluebird electric fuel pump. I have another so I am
going to try and run them in series (ie near fuel tank and in engine bay) in
the short term and see if that makes a diffe

See you at Sandown.

Cheers
