I just spoke to an
engineer who was recommended by that reference whihc some kind soul post here
yesterday. The bloke was Richard Grdusiak from Penrith, 02 4733 3860. This guy
knows his shit. Thanks heaps to whoever posted that URL for the RTA web
site.
I now know exactly what
I need to do and what not to do.
Basically, he said
"SR20.. What a f'ing great choice of motor. Good onya mate"
I basically told him
what I wanted to acheive and he said YEP no worrys.
He said that now it is
taboo to certify a car running aftermarket ECUs.. apparently they don't comply
with EPA & RTA emission standards... Never mind, I wasn't going to spend the
extra $1200 for a computer anyway.
Great news. I'm a happy
camper now. I just gotta find some front brakes off a skyline or a VN
commodore.. and a unleaaded filler spout from a series 3 bluebird... No
worrys.
He also mentioned having
an intercooler interfering with emissions standards too. Hmm. That's an
interesting topic.
Anybody care to
comment?
