yeah mate as i was saying its a 68 and unfortunately its the original 
obviously, and believe me that steering coloumn doesnt look soft compared to 
my head so what i was hoping if sumone could tell me how to get the original 
out, due to workshop manuals not actually having the early model box in it. 
My high beams are already on a seperate switch as a previous owner must have 
either been sik of hitting them by accident or for another reason all i know 
is the inner beams light up night to day. Electrics arent a worry just 
getting the boxes/ and steering columns out. thanks fellas, at the moment im 
leaning towards sunny, stanza or datsun 180b which ever is easiest
