Now how are they gunna
make square pistons on a lathe?
More on pistons:
Contacted by Australian Precision Engine Parts through a
mate who knew I was trying to be the Mahle-boro man (shit I am full of it
today) and they reckon that they can build us forged slugs, to our specs, for
$200 plus GST each. Pins & clips are extra but that won't be
much.
Whilst more expensive than the Mahles, which we can't get at
this stage anyway, this may be the way to go. Especially considering the
piston is being made to your blueprint spec and no further machining is
required, as would be the case with the Yamaha pistons.
If anyone has $800+ to spend so we can test the theory,
email [EMAIL PROTECTED] or
Australian Precision Engine Parts at 5 Sherwood Crt Wantirna South Vic 03 9887
1299.
I am in no way pushing their product etc etc but I am
interested to know the quality of their work.
If anyone else has had any dealings with this mob please let
me know. If ya really wanna test them ask for square pistons nyuk nyuk
nyuk.
Regards
Brad
