I know a guy who has a speedway car that he takes to parramatta, he has a
FJ20 and a FJ24 which he swaps in and out of the same car between
competitions...

Rare as rocking horse shit..

The FJ24 was made for some rally car originally, so they weren't ever put
into a road car.. Nissan spent so much money developing the FJ24 they
decided to re-coup some of their costs by toning it down to a 2 litre and
shoving it in a road car so they could sell them!!

hey list, just wondering if anyone else has heard anything or know anything
about the FJ24, i was quite surprised myself to hear of such an engine. i
read about it in one of the latest fast fours magz featuring the GLO - honda
ICEBOY car. ill write the article out for those who havent heard about it.

FJ24 lives.
The legends are true, there 'is' such an engine as the Nissan FJ24! spotted
in Japanese J's Tipo magazine, built for the world rally championships, the
FJ24 has some interesting comparisons to the conventional and much more
common FJ20, including larger ports, thicker conrods and much shorter
pistons for a higher compression ratio, Who wouldnt mind 177kw in their
Datsun 1600? Good luck finding one.

               FJ20 FJ24
Capacity 1990cc 2340
Bore & stroke 89x80mm 92x88mm
compres. ratio 9.0:1 11.0:1
Power 110kw 177kw
Torque 181nm 235nm.

anyone heard of an Fj24 down here in Aus? would be interesting to see or
hear of one for real.
thanks
Ryan...
