Andrew,
How
much do you want to spend and what are you going to do with the car. Koni
adjustables are excellent although they're an oil filled shock that are supposed
to be rebuildable. Don't buy them for that reason as technically it is correct
but it takes 2 weeks to do in Sydney and costs a bomb. Be prepared to pay for a
similar quality shock on each corner as you'll soon find an average rear shock
will feel like crap if you only upgrade the fronts. If you can't afford to put
the best in all round you are best off get a lower priced
version.
Best
value for money shocks that I've found lately for street and road circuit
use are the Munro GT Gas as you can get them for trade price at Repco although I
wouldn't call them supa cheap. Most of the premium quality struts are pretty
good these days but Billsteins are prolly the best but at a huge
price.
You
can get your old struts rebuilt and filled with a fork oil of stiffness that you
can specify. This was done a lot once but the average suspension place would
rather sell you inserts these days.
Have a
look around the web sites and take your pick.
regards,
terry
