Thanks for the advise, after carrying out a detailed
visual check of the cross rod/draglink and thinking it
was not quite right. I decided to pull the rod and
compare it to another I had.
I was surprised to find it bent !!!! at the idler arm
end. Plenty of clearance now. Looking at it from both
the top and bottom while it is in the car is very
decieving.
This is the first one I have seen bent, ..... wonders
how the hell did it get bent there and by 10mm !!!
