I'll have to keep an eye on when the Island practice days are on - i've never
had a run these but it appeals to me as a drivers circuit where a car with a
bit of horsepower would be fun. oran Park is my favourite circuit by a long
shot but it is very much a closed shop these days as it has become so popular
with clubs. The thing i like about Oran is you have to set your car up to turn
both ways and my favourite track corner is the flip flop which has to be taken
flat to the floor otherwise you loose up to a second on your lap time. Even
today only the top handful of V8's can get through there without lifting and
even if the car will do it the driver has to have the balls as it's very
scarey. I remember the first time i was taken through it flat out was a long
time ago with Colin Bond in an Alfetta and i nearly done my underwear. Anyway
enough rambling from me, i hope to catch up with you all one day and have a lap
or two somewhere.
