Zac,
They are essentially documents that prove particular cars have met the requirements
for the various classes of racing. Whether it be a minimum number of cars with a
certain size engine, or wheel size or whatever.
The homologation papers are issued by the controlling bodies of motorsport (CAMS, FIA,
etc.) and state that homolgated cars have met the requirements stipulated.
