I'm trying to get a daily driver 120Y on the
road because of the price of fuel at the moment. Should save a heap of
money on driving to work and back every day.
Today I put in new castor rods, castor rod
bushes, brake shoes, brake cylinders, front disc pads, ball joints and machined
the drums and discs.
only 1 thing left to do for roadworthy YAY!!
almost finished...or so I thought.
all I had to do was put in a new gearbox
mount
so I start ringing wreckers, none of them have
em, tried a heap. So I thought I'll try Autobarn or Repco, cause with my
trade account it works out not much dearer than wreckers anyway and I get a new
product. Rang repco .. "sorry sir we don't stock them" rang
autobarn "yup we'll deliver one right away"
3 hours later it arrives and I pay my money and
the girl leaves, open the box only to discover they've sent me a manual
one. I ring them up they appologise and send another girl to come pick it
up and bring me an automatic one, 4 hours later the girl shows up to return my
money and take my old one back, I said "where's the other one you were
supposed to bring" she says "they didn't give me anything to bring to
you, just told me to come get yours and give you your money back" so I ring
them to find out what was going on and they said "sorry about that,
when we told you we'd send another one out I didn't realise we don't stock
automatic gearbox mounts only manual, you will have to buy it direct from Nissan
as no where else stocks them" I said OK and rang Nissan $160 +
GST screw that...the autobarn one only cost me $15.
anyone know anywhere in Brisbane I can get an
automatic gearbox mount for a `77 120Y 4 door sedan??
