Title: RE: Accelerator Cable / Pedal
Yes, go to the car parts shop and buy a 72" universal throttle cable. They give you a little screw in thing for one end, and what I did was instead of using that, I used a fishing sinker and stuck it over the end of the cable down to where I needed it and hit it with a blowtorch which melted it into the cable to make a stopper. It works like a charm!!

The throttle cable was $12 and a pack of sinkers is $2.50

Guy's & Gal's,

Does anyone know of another simple mod to fit a much longer cable to the 910. I need one to run from the peddle across and down to the front passenger side, as I'm fitting an SU in front of my Turbo and need the extra length ???

Jeff

    Dave,
The common garden variety 910 is the first Aussie model to be badged a Bluebird
ie that is the model that came out after the 200B in circa 1981. The S1 & S2
with the L20B engine and the A10 Stanza have a solid linkage from the firewall
to the carbie just like the 1600, but they run a cable from the pedal to a
half moon fitting on the throttle bar. The pedal and the cable is easy to fit
in a 1600 and just happens to be the right length to the FJ throttle body which
is on the drivers side. The Z18 t/body is in much the same place as the FJ, so
i thought it's worth looking at for you.
