Brad,
Just as long as the membership/dress regulations don't include the following
modifications or installations in the 1600:
-Involvement of 2nd hand front wet legs with a strut brace.
-Inclusion of side skirts or flares of any form.
-Any modification to front ball joints.
I hope that my application can still be accepted with the afore mentioned
changes.
Regards
Trev
P.S. Please post me a copy of the membership form.

You are more than welcome Trev, but I must warn you
There are dress regulations....
I have bought a fair number of bits from Errol and he has gone out of his
way to look after me both in price and in assistance. I don't piss in
anyone's pocket, but I do fully endorse Datrats and I think it would be
foolish for people in the performance Datsun hobby to buy gear anywhere
else. The parts I bought off Datrats, namely Option 2 gbox, FIA head, Alloy
flywheel, Sachs clutch, sump trapdoor and 2 x 50mm Mikunis, have been
highest quality with good feedback from Errol on their service history etc.
As for prices, I would hate to calculate how much I saved from buying
through Errol as opposed to sourcing elsewhere. When you consider I paid
$2800 for the FIA head yet the same item in poor condition was offered to me
by a Datsun firm for $3650 up here, you get my drift.

Brad,
Do I detect an emergence of a Datrats fan club. If so can I sign up for
membership?

I did it through a mate on a RAAF base, but if you are in Qld go to Mendham
Engineering. They are the one-stop engineering place for engine builders,
as they have shot peening booths etc.
