over 60 years. LPG has a high octane rating of 112 RON, enabling a
higher compression ratio to be employed in the engine design. This
improves the thermal efficiency. Engine life is 50 per cent longer as a
result of reduced cylinder bore wear during cold starting since LPG
does not wash oil off the cylinder walls and the lubricating oil has a
longer life. "
