Funny you should say that, I have always toyed with the idea of resin
injecting water jackets for a drag motor - strengthens the block, eliminates
crack causation and is lightweight.

BTW Carbon fibre shells are nice and light however:
a) Carbon Fibre, believe it or not, is flammable
b) Jaws of Life cannot cut carbon fibre

I found this out 5 years ago when a Lamborghini Countach replica kit car hit
a power pole outside Boonah. She burst into flames, with the shell burning
rapidly after heat built up, with the driver trapped inside. A local farmer
doused it with water from his irrigator until the volunteer firies arrived,
and every time they took the water off the shell would reignite! The rescue
truck arrived with the jaws to cut old mate out and didn't even come close.
Wound up getting enormous angle grinders with diamond blades from Brisbane
to cut it. apparently a mob in Perth were making the kits with carbon fibre
shells and went broke because of it.

He has filled the water jackets with concrete to make the block
stronger. The whole car is custom, full carbon fibre shell.
