What exactly do you want to do.
Have I got this correct, you want to fit a L20B temporarily while you
rebuild a L16?
If so, why not just swap the L16 sump and oil pickup onto the L20B, do up
the L16 with the L20B sump on it and change the sump over when you
re-install the L16.

I don't know if the standard sway bar fits with a L20B sump, I don't even
know anyone who has done it that way as it's so easy with the L & Z series
engines to run with the stock L16 stuff. None of the other engines that
require the reversed sump can use the standard sway bar, so my guess is the
standard bar wont fit with the L20B sump. The Bluebird 910 SSS (Z18T) bar is
the popular one used with the other engines.

The 510 sump is different to all the others, and that includes the A10
Stanza L16 as the sump suits the body and not the engine. I wonder if the
L20B 810 (200B) and L20B 910 (S1 & S2 Bluebird) are different - it's quite
likely that they are.

so is the crossmember as simple as it sounds? what about the sway bar does
it need to be changed to fit an l20sump?
i just need a sump/pickup to fit on a L20 so i can drop it straight in
whilst im workin on me L16. is the 510 sump different to all the others?
