Hi robert Im unsure if they have a Mitsubishi scorpion variant in NZ I know
you guy's seem to get all the good import cars like the skylines ect probably a
better option for you would be a datsun 1500 ute diff the old tray back style.
They have a smaller track than the mitsi diff (90mm wider than stock 1200 diff)
they have around the same size axle size (26mm) and very simaller width to the
stock 1200. Other than this Im unsure how you would go. There is aslo two
different scorpion models one with 2.0ltr engine (8bolt diff) small axles and
the 2.6ltr with 10 bolt diff big axles. Im about to replace my 3rd diff center
the axles are great but the hard facing of the crownwheel & pinion gets chewed
off with the amount of tourque the engine is producing. Lots of fun but starts
getting noisy after a hard fang. The 4.6 is worse for this the 3.3 has not had
any problems as yet. Hope this helps any other quetsiond dont hesitate to ask.
It might take a while to answer as I get quite a bit of email.
Cheers Andrew
