The Z18's use a T3 turbo.  This is the same style of turbo found on FJ20's 
and all nissan 6 cylinder single turbos, like RB20ET, RB20DET, RB25DET, 
RB30ET (VL motor).  The other 4 cylinders use the T2 series (T25,T28,T22 
and T2 turbos).  The two different types have different bolt patterns ie 
different manifolds.  You can bolt on any of the T3's to replace it.  One 
problem is most of the T3's were water cooled and the Z18 is not (just oil 
cooled).  This means you need to run water lines, but it not very hard (and 
is better for the turbo).
A good secondhand T3 turbo will go from $250 for a RB20ET turbo up to about 
$650 for a RB25DET turbo.  Some are roller bearing and some have ceramic 
wheels you just need to shop around.
