Subject: RE: Roll Cage advice
please
Chrome moly is very strong therefore useable dimensions are less,
saving weight. Unfortunately it is more expensive to buy and has to
be tig welded.
Cages are like helmets, what is it worth to you to survive an
accident?

Hi all,
Looking at putting a roll cage in my 1200
coupe,
i have a few prices. on different types of
cages
is a 4 point beneficial for body
strength?
should i use a bolt in type or weld in
type
and why are chrome moly cages soooo dear?
4point alloy $500 (good enough until u run quicker
than a 10.99 ANDRA rules)
6 point weld mild steel $1200 (too much extra
weight?)
6 point chrome moly $2300
car will mainly for street and drag strip
thanks
Heath
