Paul,
Your friend is correct, the 34ADM Weber is off a 4 litre Falcon engine
(XE-XF) alloy head 2. I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing with
regards to the hose on your manifold. I think you need to look at a picture
of the 200B engine in a manual to get that sorted. At $60 you have a bargain
for a factory manual.

So it's for pollution control? I've heard of air injection but not EGR! My
friends ripped out lots of polution hoses when we put the motor in...they
aren't real good with anything technical (they thought that charcoal
canisters reduced engine power...tell me they don't) so this exhaust tube
seems to be left on but is useless since it doesnt have a tube that turns it
"on".

How do you go about getting the intake manifold off when it's firmly
attached to the exhaust?

And on the subject of intake, what's the story of the water pipe? Does it
need water to cool it? And how do I go about unblocking it, since it's all
blocked up?

I see...it says 34 ADM 3A. My friend says it's off a Ford. I will try it out
once I get some longer studs.

Found one for $60 at
http://www.marque.com.au/nissan.htm
This is the sort of info that should be uploaded free for the taking...who
wants to spend $60 for a car manual when they've only spent $180 all up on
the car :)
