Air conditioning

I don't suppose there are too many Datsun drivers who drive in the luxury of air conditioning, but I happen to like AC.   I own a '77 200B and I ripped an aircon out of a '79 200B, but the condenser was broken, so I ripped the compressor and condenser out of a bluebird but the evaporator didnt fit so I left the 200B one in. The pipes on the evaporator (thats the box inside the car) don't fit the pipes from the compressor and condensor. The regulator for the 200B evaporator is inside the unit, instead of outside like in the Bluebird. So I have ended up with two external threads that need to be joined together on each of the pipes. Whats the best way to do this? Will brass adapters do the job? Another problem is the pipes from the bluebird stuff are O-ring connections, and the 200B evaporator has flanged ones.
