Good point. If they can only pick you up from about 10 metres away do the
radar detectors have a setting to shut off the circuitry when the signal
reaches a certain point? In other words, when you get close enough for them
to pick it up it shuts down. Or what about an ultra low power circuit like a
crystal radio?
I've never been booked in my life so I have no need for a radar detector,
I'm just curious. Yeah call me a granny driver, but I happen to like doing
100 in the 100K zone. The other cars do 110-130 and then when they see a
camera they drop their anchors and do 80 in the 100K zone which is
stupidity. I just cruise past the camera at 100 or even 105 they dont snap
me.
