pete, how much is your head decked? I am interested to see what kind of cam
you are running as well. I would imagine your valve clearances can't be to
big if you have a meaty cam. Monotorque head gaskets will hold up pretty
well unless you relay have a lot of load on the engine all the time in which
case they will blow out. Efi Hardware in Melbourne carry a good reusable
headgasket that will definitely hold up to that type of compression. does
your engine ping at all?
        Scott........

Subject: compression

list members,

I'm running an L20b block with a A87 head that has been decked several
times, and also running dish top pistons. I has the compression ratio tested

and it came out as being 12:1. I gather that this is a lot, and and was
wondering if this high level of compression would put the head gasket under
a lot more pressure than usual, meaning leaks....would a copper gasket be
better???

cheers,

pete kitchen.
