Once I did pretty well in my 89 Pulsar. It was lowered with bald tires and I
got about 3rd in this autocross I went in.
There were about 30 cars in it, and quickest was a mark I rally Escort which
got about 42 seconds, and I got 45 seconds. I could get the quickest time by
leaving it in 2nd all the way around...1st was too much wheel spin...my hand
brake only worked on one wheel too. My friend got 1 second slower than me in
his VC Valiant! He races HQs now...Ben Simpson...he has "Sponser Wanted" on
his car...and some bastard comentator said "look at him, he's got 'sponser
wanted' and he's loaded..."
because he was thinking Ben was related to some Simpson family who is
apparently rich, but he's not. He's got no money...his best was 2nd I
think...his TAFE teacher got 1st IRC.
