Hi
you can lower the front a bit by cutting the rubber block the spring end
sits on in half. Remove most of the rubber and it should be lower enuf for
most. The rear being conventional is easy, get the springs re rated or use
blocks and longer shackle bolts. (could get that front spring re rated too)
front disks are tricky cos you need too at least make up a bracket to hold
the calipers then find some disks to fit. I have a set of vented magna
disks, the type that go over the outside of the hub like a hat and i think i
could make these work but am a little worried about the xtra weight.
Vented laser disks mite be better. Maybe get the magna ones machined right
back to a minimum diameter to reduce the weight but then wot calipers would
you use? laser? those magna disks do fit rather well, bolt straight on, and
will still go under 13" mags
as for the steering box... no idea but i do have an old honda scamp rack and
pinion wich i reckon would work a treat...
now if only i had the time to...
ren
ps also know someone whos after a 1600, you know the sort, no rust, original
condition or mildly worked etc etc etc (well ya got to try :)
