List members,
I found a pair of the factory recall 180B offset strut tops. The only ones I could find were the 5mm offset versions, there are supposed to be 10mm offset versions as well.
I think that it would be possible to offset the studs a further 10mm to give a total of 15mm offset.
Two modifications are necessary,
    1 Elongate/repitch the holes
2 shave off >10mm of strut top so that it doesn't foul the Stanza strut tower.
My questions are
1 Is elongating the holes good practice or should the old holes be welded up before the new ones are drilled?
2 Will shaving 10mm off the rim of the strut top make it unsafe or affect suspension performance?
(If so I might weld a flat plate to give back strength and use the plate as part of the strut brace mounting)
Will offsetting the strut top introduce a static torque (preload) in the strut/strut top, if so will this prematurely wear the strut top bearing or shock seals?
Sincere regards,
Nick
