Linc,
This is bad news - this also happened to me recently and I drilled it out a
bit until I could fit a decent sized eziout, but the eziout off in it and
then I threw the calliper into the bin as the cost of fixing it was going to
be twice as much as another calliper. In hindsight it may have been better
to drill the bleeder out further until the remains could be removed from the
thread. The problem with this as I saw it was that I was going to get
filings in the piston and do it no good whatsoever. You may be best to seek
advise from a brake shop for this one as it's a very common problem if the
wrong bleeder has been installed in an alloy calliper.
regards
Terry

Subject: broken off bleed nipple
hey all - while the issue of brakes are on everyones
mind, i need some help.
i recently bought some 200b girlock calipers from a
wreckers - and when i went to install them, i found
that the bleed nipple had been broken off, but the
arsehole wrecker wont take a return cos he said i
broke it -
so, how can i get the nipple out - it is flush with
the rest of the caliper.
would eze-outs work? what else can i try?
thanks. Linc.
