The only old FWD cars Datsun made were the E10
Cherry 1970 - 1977 (which was the first FWD they ever made) and the F10
Cherry 1975 - 1979 and then the N10 Cherry 1980 -84 . The E10 and F10 were also
sold as 100A or 120A. I don't think either of these models were sold in Aus.
(Far too feeble for outback roads I'd imagine :-) To see a bit of info about the
FWD Datsuns go to... http://home.wanadoo.nl/i.y.vlaar/index.htm
The E10 120A coupe is pretty cool.
The 120Y (B210) was always RWD even with L14 and
L16 in them. Some of these were sold as GX Excellent in Japan but 140Z and
160Z in limited numbers in SA as far as I know. They have round tail lights
and different front ends with a longer more pointed bonnet. Here's a pic of a
Jap one... http://members.sniffout.com/ratdat/images/Excellent1600GX.jpg
NZ had the 120Y SSS which was built there.
