Hi Zac,

There's no real guarantee but seems to work really well. The fuel also recirculates back from the engine bay into the surge tank so there is always plenty of fuel available.

Ideally you'd add a low pressure pump in the boot that feeds the surge tank.

Subject: Phil - surge tank

Phil, hope you don't mind me asking, but I couldn't help notice your surge tank looks like it is gravity fed.
Good idea! But how do you stop your fuel pump from ever starving from fuel too, considering that it needs to be gravity fed too?

Is there always enough fuel in the surge tank to ensure that pump starvation never occurs?

cheers,
zac
