For info and something to look out for.
I fitted a set of Torana Radius rods to my 1600,
thinking.. Hell this is gonna be great, adjustable
castor.
I found one of the rods, when bolted to the lower
control arm, distorted the arm so that it was actually
twisted !!! After much "mucking around" I found that
it was cast slightly differently to the other,
(reduced flat area where the bolts go through)
preventing it from being bolted flush to the ball
joint bracket.
A little gentle grinding would fix it but am wary of
weakening the rod. Obviously GMH don't have close
tolerances required for Torana radius rods !!!!!
Something to watch out for.
