they are the same although a kilo or so heavier but OK to use.

hi all
Is the L18 and L16 flywheel the same?
The starter ring gear on my L18 is chewed up, and I have a good
one on a spare L16 lying around, so I am wondering if it is
easier/better to get a new ring gear fitted for the L18, or use the
L16 assembly??
