Hi everyone, My starter is playing up. It makes seedy noises and doesn't engage properly. But it also sounds like it is not spinning very fast. I have checked the battery is charged, alternator is charging, leads to battery, block and starter are all clean and corrosion free. So I think the starter or solenoid is stuffed. What's the best backyard diagnosis method? Please help as I had to push start the car with a big hangover, uphill in the hot sun on Saturday and it wasn't fun! Specially when I realised the kill switch was still on after two attempts! Doh!
