Hello,

I got my struts done today (with m/cycle fork oil...thanks guys!) and
assembled so I now have some adjustable platform S12 struts. I'm waiting to
get the threaded inserts back from my machinist to weld into my bottom arms
for taking rod ends (so I'll have adjustable lower arms too) but in the
meantime I got some other queries....

Firstly, I tried to fit up a 910 Bluebird anti-roll bar but it won't clear
the FJ sump (by quite a bit) Is this different to a TRX one? We only got the
first series of 910 here so no TRX ones available. If so whats the trick?
Only way I can see to fit it is a BIG spacer between the chassis and ARB
mounting brackets.

Is it preferable to fit the original back plates with vented disks or leave
them off? The S12 backplates have a square hole in them and I did consider
welding on a 90 degree piece of pipe there to be used with some trunking, as
a air duct ...is this worth the effort or shall I just leave the back plates
off?

Has anybody made track control arms from steering rack tie rods? Like, using
the inner ball joint from the rack and mounting it to the forward chassis
bracket. Would it be strong enough? I though of maybe joining it to the
original (cut down) T/C rod with a left/right threaded tube to give castor
adjustment. Any ideas?

Last but not least...I can't actually order 510 parts here (nobody is
familiar with the model...not even Nissan dealers) and I'm wondering if the
front lower ball joints and track rod ends are the same as 120Y ones or some
thing as later models I can get parts for no probs.

Thanks everyone for your help!
