Andrew,

It is likely to be the contacts in your ignition switch. You can pull the
switch apart and clean everything up or replace the switch. I've assumed the
when you turn the key to the Start position you get nothing at all out of
the starter. If the starter is spinning but not engaging then this is a
different problem or if the solenoid just clicks then this is also a
different problem - get back with some more details if either 2 or 3 is
happening so I can advise more specifically.

You can test the Ignition switch with a multimeter; disconnect the lead from
the solenoid (make sure it can't touch the body) and attach the +ve
multimeter lead and the -ve multimeter lead to earth. Turn the key to the
Start position and see if a constant 12 volts is shown on the readout.

Must be the weather for electrical problems, I've had trouble with my
alternator and starter through the week but all fixed over the weekend.

regards
Terry

Subject: starter motor

Sometimes I have to turn the ignition on and off about ten times to get
the starter to engage.I changed the starter motor but it's still the
same.Could it be a relay or something? Any help would be great.
