The tube size is pretty important. Some older trucks have small tube but there overall size is huge as they have room to fit these.I would avoid this type. The kenworths and macks usually use Garrett type which have large tube size but are very wide and some are also quite thick.Cutting down the height isn't to much hassle but if it's to wide then a new end plate needs to be made and the cooler cut to size and cooling fins carefully removed so the new end can be ally soldered in place then tanks welded on.There's other methods but this is what i've seen some do.I would tend to look for some of the mercedes or mitsubishi coolers as these have a good size tube and are around 60mm thick and around 500mm wide plus tanks. They're fairly high but can be cut down. The mitsibishi one i found was almost identical to 3 evo 4 intercoolers joined together. The bottom was damaged so after removing the damaged part it ended up 500 wide by 500 high and the original tanks used.Make sure you look for corrosion as this is common especially with truck parts imported from the UK.Hope some of this helps.Sorry to waffle on.

Hi All,Is there any particular trucks or features too look out for when looking for a good intercooler core, I'm going to go to the local truck wrecker this week and have a look at what is available. ThanksGuy
