Toby,
You have a choice of many Datto cylinders that will work OK with your brake
combo. However, as you are using the popular 180B booster the cylinders that
work best will similar set-ups are a 180B Tokico 3/4" with the stock inline
prop valve fitted or a Sunny Nabco 13/16" which in most 1600's with 4 discs
doesn't need a prop valve for street use as it's internal proportioning is
just as good if not better than the external unit. If you prefer a firm
pedal then I'd recommend the Nabco. I have used both cylinders in my 1600,
(200B Girlock DBA sport Paget Blue/R31 Bendix Ultimate) and I have the Nabco
in now. It's quite a bit different in feel to the Tokico but I'm used to it
now and I think they are a tad better in most circumstances, I particularly
like the bias setting as it's almost impossibly in the dry on tarmac to lock
the rears. If you do any form of competition though I'd recommend an in car
adjustable bias system eg Tilton or the one that Richard wrote about sounds
like a good option.
regards
Terry

Hey all,
I know it's been discussed alot but I am still alittle confused.
I am after some master cylinder size advice for my 1600. The setup
commodore/verada fronts, R31 rears and 180B booster.
Mainly street use with as much track time as my budget will allow.
I know there are ways of measuring piston bores the working it out, but as
the setup is fairly common I thought someone may know the best size through
experience.
Any advice is much appreciated
Thanks Toby
