I have used shortened arms, and it works well. Problem is that even when
welded and heat treated they are not always guaranteed not to break,
especially in rallying. I prefer the strength of an unmodified steering arm
and the adjustibility of the steering quick box. As it is a race only
fitting, factory looks are not an issue.

Why not just short'n the steering arms on the bottom of the strut?.
Keep it simple keep it factory looking.
