Tim,

Exhaust popping is usually caused by the ignition timing too far advanced on
overrun and/or the mixture is rich.

Terry

I have been wondering for a while if the exhaust popping (very loud )
is normal on a fuel injected l series motor (z24 block l20b head) is
sounds good but is it good for the motor or is it a sign that the
mixture map hasn't been set up right in the computer.
thanks in anticipation
tim
