The only cast iron L series heads I have seen have been on diesel versions.(LD20) Never seen the combustion chambers on one though. I assume the diesels high compression would be generated with domed pistons. Listers, I have just acquired the cast iron L series head!!!   It has 38mm inlets with 30mm ports and 33mm exhausts using conventional port shaping.The cam sits in aluminium cam towers.
